Cardington-Lincoln Elementary School has been recognized with the 2017 Bronze Award for the implementation of school-wide Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports! Great job, Pirates!
What is PBIS?
Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports is a system of tools and strategies for defining expectations, teaching expectations, acknowledging appropriate behavior, and correcting inappropriate behavior. It is a framework for creating customized school systems that support positive student outcomes and academic success. PBIS is for the whole school, it is preventative, and it changes the paradigm of focus from negative behaviors and exchanges, to positive expectations and interactions.
