Welcome Back!!

The teachers and staff are excited to begin the 2018-2019 school year as many opportunities lie ahead for our little Pirates.

As we begin the year, we are pleased to announce the addition of several new teachers and staff:

Nicholas Dewalt                Elementary Music

Jennifer Etgen                   Elementary Art

Morgan Newsome             Intervention Aide

Katlyn Schafer                   1-2 Intervention Specialist

Sarah Smith                        School Counselor

Please help us welcome our new team members!

As you know our AIR Test results are in, but what you may not know is that they are our highest scores yet! We are excited to see the academic growth of our students and look forward to continuing our success this year.

The PBIS program has served our building well and will again be in place this year. The theme of positivity will continue as we look to build each other up and make good choices.

There will be some new safety protocols in various places building and district-wide. These include a school resource officer, new locking mechanisms on all exterior doors, and modifications to our morning drop-off routine. More information to come!

Don’t forget that Open House is Thursday, August 23rd from 5:00-7:00pm. Come meet your new teachers and see what this year is all about! A big THANK YOU to several local organizations, business, and churches who donated many school supplies that families will not have to purchase. These items will be distributed during open house, and are listed, as well as those that are still needed, on the 2018-2019 school supply list.

Finally, we can’t wait to see the places our little Pirates will go and the things they will do as they continue making and developing new friendships this year. Dr. Seuss once said, “You’re off to great PLACES! Today is YOUR Day! Your MOUNTAIN is waiting, So…Get On Your WAY!”

Here’s to the start of another exciting journey! We look forward to working together in building our community of Respectful, Responsible, and Ready learners.

Serving you,

The Cardington-Lincoln Elementary Staff
